Low FODMAP

FODMAPs are sugars that don't absorb properly in your gut or encourage the flourishing of certain bacteria in your microbiome. Some sugars may be more tolerated in your gut than others. Elimination diets of all kinds should be done with a Registered Dietician. After working with your Registered Dietician, you may learn some FODMAPs cause you intestinal distress. Then you may want to limit or reduce how much you eat.

Low FODMAP Diet

The low FODMAP label on recipes does not mean no FODMAPs are present. Some recipes may have no FODMAPs of a specific variety and low amounts of another. Serving size matters a low FODMAP food can become high FODMAP if eaten in large amounts.
